ABOUT NORTH TEXAS SISTER2SISTER

North Texas Sister 2 Sister (NTXS2S) is a non-profit organization that began as the inspired dream of two friends, Shirley Haynes and Joann Patterson in 2008. Their desire was to create a resource hub that would support other women in need. Since that time, NTXS2S has worked to enhance the quality of life of women and children in the Dallas area who are in crisis. We believe that using our time, talents, and prayer can make a difference!

Members of this group believe in and work tirelessly to improve the emotional and physical health of individuals and families in our community; which will prayerfully result in more stable families for generations to come. Pope John XXIII once said, “The family is the first essential cell of human society." Through our thoughtfully-crafted programs, services and referrals, North Texas Sister2Sister has successfully impacted numerous families over the years.

We organize and participate in educational and community service projects such as volunteering at local food pantries, coat and blanket drives, visiting residents of nursing homes, supplying back to school supplies and more. NTXS2S also hosts a variety of fundraising events that support scholarships and outreach projects. These activities are a great benefit to the community.

Our organization supports and encourages leadership development through education and community service. We believe higher education is the platform to help individuals meet their full potential and be successful in life.
