Building Leaders through Education & Service
North Texas Sister2Sister (NTXS2S) supports and encourages young women to value leadership development through education and community service. To support this mission, NTXS2S believes higher education is the foundation for individuals to meet their potential of becoming effective leaders within our communities. We want to help YOU achieve those life goals.
Each year North Texas Sister2Sister works to provide financial assistance to young ladies seeking professional development through higher education. We are offering a $500 Leadership, Education & Service Scholarship to a qualifying student who is enrolled in college or plans to attend college during the XXXX-XX school year. This scholarship provides funding towards tuition, fees, books and other education materials.
Eligibility Requirements

Complete scholarship application.

Submit a reference letter from a teacher/mentor/coach/church official detailing your leadership experiences or community service efforts, academic achievements and awards. Letters must be sent to the email address listed above or given to a NTXS2S member.

Must be enrolled or plan to attend college in XXX-XXXX school year. This scholarship is for new enrollees and continuing undergraduate college students.

Write a 250 to 500 word (typed) essay describing your academic or life goals and how higher education will contribute to you becoming an advocate of service in the community.
Instructions
Go to www.ntxs2s.wixsite.com/ntxs2s to download the scholarship application. Applicants must complete requirements listed above completely. The scholarship application, typed essay, and letters must be sent as attachments to northsis2sis@gmail.com or given to a NTXS2S member. Please send all documents in one email. Title the email 19-20 North Texas Sister2Sister Scholarship and your name.
Award Notification
You will be contacted by email or phone if you are selected for our Leadership through Education Scholarship. Applicants not accepted this year will be notified about opportunities for future NTXS2S community service projects, special events and scholarships.
